Deadline for National Metalworking Reshoring Award: April 30

The 9th National Metalworking Reshoring Award, which recognizes companies for successful reshoring or nearshoring projects, is now accepting submissions. The award is sponsored by The Reshoring Initiative, in conjunction with the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA); AMT — The Association for Manufacturing Technology; SME; the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association (FMA); and the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA).

 

AWARD CRITERIA

The annual National Metalworking Reshoring Award is the one award for which job shops, contract manufacturers, OEMs, and branded product companies alike can compete. Award criteria include:

1.     Number of North American jobs created

2.     Dollars per year of sales reshored or nearshored from further offshore

3.     Capital investment

4.     Product innovation

5.     Process innovation

6.     Success of the project

7.     Completeness of application

8.     Bonus points will be awarded to PMA, AMT, SME, FMA, and NTMA members

 

All responses will be kept confidential. Winners will be announced at , which is scheduled for Sept. 14-19 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

 

ELIGIBILITY

1.     Reshoring or foreign direct investment (FDI) of the work occurred between Jan. 1, 2010, and April 30, 2026.

2.     Work returned to North America from outside North America.

3.     The products, parts, or tooling reshored must be made primarily by forming, casting, fabricating, or machining, including additive machining.
